Run Albany, is a trail weekend unlike anything WA has seen. You'll be blown away by the atmosphere. From the Festival of Lights, to the breathtaking coastal views. To the live music and visual art masterpieces. A celebration of all great things trail.……there's also wine, beer, food and one amazing trail community to share it all with.

Distances suit all runners with the ability to run every day if you like! A former whaling town, Albany is becoming an adventure hot spot with amazing trails, breathtaking views and surprising vert.

Check out the relaxed start times of the runs, so you can make the most of the social events in the evening......and even sample the local wines and beers :)

 

MULTI-DAY ENTRY

ALL WEEKEND LONG

You've got choices on Saturday of a relay or an ultra marathon. Then our 7km night race through the Field of Lights. Sunday brings us 5.5 km, 14km and 21km options! This entry also includes any entertainment that's organised by us throughout the weekend.

When you choose this option, you'll get a tech tee, a buff, and a medal for the Ultra/Relay, and a medal for the Sunday event you pick.

Mutton to Middleton Coastal Trail Run

From Mutton Bird Island to Middleton Beach...We're still keeping the exact route a surprise, however, we'll be on the Iconic Bibbulmun track for some of the way. 

 ~Distance: 48.2km ~Elevation: +/- 1350m

In this race, we expect to have all runners through the halfway point no later than 12.15pm, 3.5hrs. We know you won't have negative splits on the course we've set out, so to keep with the 8hr cut-off, we'll be enforcing this. 

You'll receive a tech race tee, and finisher medal when you arrive at Middleton Beach.

We expect that all 'part 2 runners' to depart the halfway point by 12.15pm. If your partner has not arrived we deduct the time at the finish.

The run incorporates the Field of Light: Avenue of Honour immersive art installation by Bruce Munro, in homage to the Anzacs who departed from Albany for the Great War. Thousands of lights illuminate the tree-lined path with an artwork blooming at night like wildflowers after rain. The installation symbolises wild beauty, sacrifice, courage and honour–an experience not to be missed!

Bring your headlamp and smiles as these trails will have you super excited about the weekend and trails ahead.

You'll receive a finisher buff when you complete this event.

Welcome to the Three Peaks. It's been whispered about on the lips of locals for decades. Now, you too can be part of this epic adventure! While you run amazing trails, climb three separate peaks and run through the middle of the town square.

You'll receive a tech race tee, and finisher medal when you arrive back at the finish event village.

As the name suggests, you'll race around 2 peaks, sharing the trails with the 3 Peaks runners. It's an exciting race that provides some urban undulations. You'll be welcomed with a finisher medal and cheers/woohoos in the festival event village.

Come down early to hang out in the hub of activity. You'll go in the opposite direction as the 2 Peaks, so make sure to make a friend at the start so you can share with them what they missed out on! This is a spectacular view of the city that you've probably never seen!
